Mission Statement
ForHarriet.com is a blog community for Black women 25-65. In an effort to provide new, diverse perspectives on what it means to be a Black women in the 21st century, our content is written primarily by women who do not consider themselves to be writers or academics. We encourage our readers to share their opinions and engage in honest, open dialogue about the issues that affect our lives. All opinions are welcome except those which promote hate, intolerance, or oppression. Our mission is to inspire, educate, and entertain our readers.

Kimberly N. Foster is the publisher and editor-in-chief of For Harriet as well as other online media properties for women of color.
