Tyler Perry's 'Single Mom's Club' Opens to Disappointing Box Office Receipts
Tyler Perry's latest feature film "Single Mom's Club" took in $8.3 million at the box office this weekend though it was predicted to take in double that amount.
The film starred Nia Long, Amy Smart, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Zulay Henao, Cocoa Brown and Perry as Long's romantic interest.
The figure makes this the lowest opening ever for a Tyler Perry film. That may be bad news for the multi-hyphenate Perry who has plans to develop a show based on the film for the OWN network.
