Philadelphia Social Worker Shot in Head While Waiting for Bus

Kim Jones, a social worker in Philadelphia, became the 14th homicide victim in the city this week.

While waiting for a bus on the morning of January 12, she was shot once in the back of the head. Police do not believe Jones was killed in a robbery attempt.

Philadelphia Police Captain James Clark says, "We do not believe it was a robbery attempt at all. She had headphones on, she had her purse, she had her cell phone, she had jewelry on - none of which was taken, none of which was disturbed. So we do not believe... we know that she was targeted for whatever reason. We do not believe it was a robbery."
Jones, 56, was the mother of two adult children.

Police are interviewing her family members, trying to get a lead on who the killer is and the motive.
