digitalundivided, a social enterprise created to bring more black women into tech, is holding an event, START ATL, to help you start and grow your tech business. START ATL takes place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, on the campus of the Spelman College in the Science Center NASA Auditorium.

“There are more than 10 million firms in the United States owned by women, and people of color are among the fastest growing demographic group,” said Jane Smith, executive director of the Spelman College Center for Leadership & Civic Engagement. “It is this reality, along with the integral role technology plays in all of our lives that motivated Spelman to become the host sponsor of the event.”
START will give all attendees an opportunity to pitch their digital business ideas before a panel of judges with a chance to win up to $5,000 in prizes.
Business experts such as Navarrow Wright, CTO, Interactive One and Kendra Bracken Ferguson, Founder, Digital Brand Architects and leading investors Lauren Maillian Bias, Managing Director, Gen Y Capital and Eghosa Omoigui, Managing Director, EchoVC will all be on hand to offer expert advice and information to those who attend and have an idea for the next big website, mobile app or blog.
